Back in the day, everybody used to get dressed up for traveling. Nowadays you’ll see a lot more of the athleisure trend filling up those seats. Nothing wrong with that, though there are a lot of benefits to going the chic route too!
Not only do you feel good when you look good, but you’ll be all dressed and ready when you touch down on your destination! You don’t need fancy stuff to look good either! Here are the outfit formulas you need to create 3 chic travel outfits.
3 Chic Travel Outfit Formulas
1. blazer + tee + skinny jeans + flats
Throwing a blazer over a basic tee is such an easy going way to look chic. Paired with (stretchy) high waist jeans and comfortable flats make the best go-to chic travel outfit! Related: 15 Ways to Wear a Black Blazer
2. basic tee + duster cardigan + blanket scarf + mom jeans + ankle boots
Equal mixes of stylish yet functional, and of course, the outfit isn’t complete without some hide-your-face-celeb-worthy hat and sunglasses. Related: 9 tips on How to Look Expensive
3. faux fur coat + mom jeans + ankle boots + backpack
Definitely a statement maker, but this outfit is a lot easier to put together than you think. All you need is a “look at me” coat and some ankle boots and you got yourself a real winner. Related: Traveling in the Winter? Here’s How to Look Chic and Stay Warm!

I am always dressing for comfort!
That doesn’t surprise me 😉
I dress for both comfort and style! Since I travel a lot for work, I’ve done some variation of all three outfits you mentioned—they’re all great! I tend to go with some dressier leather sneakers though, especially on long haul flights. Love all these options!
These are really great ways to travel so comfy and stylish!
Great looks! I’m in love with both the jacket AND the blanket scarf!
All of your outfits are fabulous. I love the black and white coat.
I have to be comfortable while flying. I actually was just traveling today & my outfit was very similar to the second outfit you showed! Black turtle neck, cute belt, a comfy pair of jeans, & some ankle boots! Happy Holidays!

I am loving all of the fur coats! So cute!
Blanket scarves are my travel staple and I never leave my favourite behind! It’s so important to feel comfortable in long journeys, but also feel cute and chic!
I so love the look #1, its formal and casually simple. All other outfits were great too but number 1 is the best for me.
I love the blazer and the flats in the first outfit and the faux fur coat! The coat comes in handy too because planes are always freezing and they never seem to have a blanket. I dress for style and comfort. I”m still trying to figure out that combo when it comes to shoes; unfortunately most of the really cute shoes I’ve bought are so uncomfortable that they end up just sitting in my closet.
You should try Rothys. I have a few pairs. Super comfy, come in a bunch of styles and patterns and they’re machine washable! I love wearing them for travel cause they’re easy when going through security
That’s a good suggestion!
Comfy and comfortable shoes are hard to find! I have some Sam Edelman flats that are comfy. I also found a pair from Payless that are surprisingly super comfortable too! They have that dexter comfort plus. Good luck!
You look super chic and so comfy for traveling! Love the faux fur jacket paired with denim❤️
Your chic travel looks are so cute! I’m definitely more of a scarf and hat wearer with stylish boots so I can head out soon as I touch down!
